My 2 cent / what say you?
If I can ever get a quote, this is what I'll be asking. 1) Best policy that is eligible for a subsidy - I believe it is limited to silver? Since the subsidy is an advance, based on 2014 income I must not withdraw any IRA monies next year and hope to win the lottery this year! 2) Policy must have som...

Thanks RickP. I understand it will be mid year enrollment when DSRA will allow us back in so I 'll be searching for something cheaper. I planned to set up my IRA to auto pay the premium. Gonefishin: I plan to call a company direct and ask for a local agent. Find the phone #s on the Ohio.gov Dept of ...

Re: ObamaCare
Thanks RickP. Here are my thoughts and they may change. To begin, we presently have the 2 person Gold DSRA plan costing $509.12 with HCTC. Fortunately we have 15 months until Medicare comes to our rescue. My plan is to downgrade to Silver and skip the optional dental and vision. According to RickP I...

Hi Rick, If you implied something negative of zazz, I gotta agree part of the reply was crude as was your snide remark. But his message was right on. HCTC Advanced payments 2011 1099-H
Form 1099-H DO NOT FILE THIS FORM WITH YOUR FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN This notice stated how much subsidy received and the 12 monthly amounts. This has to apply to our HCTC reimbursement retro-active feb/11 ? My question, has anyone started to compile require papers needed to get this reimbursement...

Re: DSRA Distribution
I think this is a result of Obamacare as much as I hate to say. Insurance companies must pay out 80% or refund difference. Yeah I hate Obamacare too, but this refund is from the Early retiree reinsurance program. Part of the monies helped pay surviving spouse which congress eliminated. Now re-insta...

Hey RickP the huffington post was a good read. If money is speech then it is only logical, the lack of money means you have no speech. "Buckley v. Valeo" should be included in Bernie Sanders amendment efforts. The wealthy are like a cancer destroying our constitution. I've just learned mon...

If you haven't heard of Citizens United, you certainly have to know that "corporations are people" and "money is speech." Two years ago the Supreme Court ruled corporations both domestic and foreign have the right to spend as much money as they wish to influence our elections and...

GM arrogance and stupidity
The scumb bags at GM are at it again. The elite are so far removed from reality and living in the past they have absolutely no idea what bad PR they just did. Shower a millionaire sports player with a new corvette and call him a "Hero" just for being a key player in the world series. This ...

Re: NEWS FLASH!!!!! POSSIBLE HCTC GOOD NEWS
"2 years of subsidies and time for retirees to prepare for life after the HCTC ." Actually, the yet unsigned proposal is 2 years at 72.5% which is exactly half our original 80% and our present 65%. The third year will resort back to 65% and then HCTC will end Dec.2014. 2015 brings all of ...

Hey zazz I'll never forget what they all did to us. As a matter of fact, I'll continue my ill will towards them and rejoice when they go belly up again. As for the UAW, they should have told the "auto task force" and Obama, we're doing nothing until our brothers are all made whole! They ac...

Well, I was looking for a bump up in the stock price when the contract was approved. It didn't happen and I have lost a point. Looks like investors are not happy and neither am I. I'm selling before the stock goes any lower. I remember when all industry was state owned in Soviet Russia, how ironic i...

The UAW membership approved the contract. After which, Fidelity notified me of my upcoming early retirement payment for October. So far so good. My next concern is when I turn 62 in a few months and start collecting SS. In the past, our members continued to receive early retirement for eleven months...

Re: GM-UAW Contract
As always, it now has to go to the membership for approval. The UAW won better health care benies, 8-10,000 signing bonus and maybe a buck or two more for the low class workers. As for us Delphi retirees we have to sit and wait. With 2 weeks remaining till the first of the month it won't be long unt...
