Birds of Paradise - video

Here is a link to the Cornell lab of Ornithology's study of Birds of Paradise. There is not much new on the board, so I thought I would post this link to videos describing the making of a documentary about Birds of Paradise. You won't believe how these birds can instantly change their appearance. T...

Here is a great site that put up a presentation with 39 photos of old automobiles and movie stars of the past that owned them. There is one of Errol Flynn in his Packard! Check it out, they did a great job of collecting rare photos and adding music to the presentation. 1st, you have to go to the si...

Re: Beware- HCTC And IRS Screw up HCTC Credit

Rick, I used turbotax to do my own taxes and was stumped when it came time to fill out the form 8885 . When I filled out the complete 8885 form, turbotax added the over payment amount as taxable income and had me paying additional tax on that amount instead of returning the over-payment amount to me...

I am serious, I did get that email from Retiree communications. I too lost my healthcare which now costs me around $6000.00 a year. I lost my life insurance policy. I did not ask to be split off from GM to the "New Delphi Corporation" which bit us all on the ass. When we were left in the d...

I just moved this post to this general discussion forum with it's own title. It was listed as a reply to the "Welcome" topic and most viewers did not see it in that thread. ....Just want to make sure that if someone has an answer you won't miss reading this post.

I created this forum as a free place to post any items that you want to sell. You can also advertise your garage or yard sale. This forum is set up to automatically delete any post after 14 days. If you do not sell the item in that time, just post it again, there is no limit to the number of items o...

Concerns about "Health Care" topic

I have concerns about the direction some of the posts are going in the HEALTH CARE topic. I set up this forum and web site as a place to exchange information that would be of benefit to all Delphi retirees. It can be used as a soap box to express your opinions, but I am not comfortable with any name...

That is OK, I understand that making your first post anywhere on the internet is a big step for the first...

Re: POLL - under 65 - What insurance option are you going with?

Gary, I am actually keeping the GM Plan, but going with the DSRA Gold Plan for next year. I am not taking the opt out money, thereby allowing me to select the GM Plan next year during the enrollment period if I choose. I do not see an option on the poll for my choice except keeping the Gm high dedu...

Once you edit a post, it changes the main database file that contains all of the posts, user information and layout of the board. If I restore an earlier backup, it restores the complete board. There is no way to look at one post without wiping out what is on the board at the present time. The Sept ...

I just found that if I modify the poll in any way or edit anything in the poll post, all of the totals will be erased and set to zero.
