FREE lighting kit from First Energy in Ohio

Postby seeking_info » Wed Sep 04, 2013 10:41 pm

I found this information on the web and am passing it along.
Here is a free program for almost everyone in Ohio.

This is what you will receive for no charge IF you request the kit.

FirstEnergy's (NYSE: FE) Ohio utilities -- Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company and Toledo Edison – will offer energy conservation kits and educational materials to their Ohio residential customers as part of the company's programs supporting Ohio Senate Bill 221, Ohio's energy efficiency law.

The cost of the kits is collected through residential rates as approved with Senate Bill 221, also known as Ohio’s energy efficiency law. Utility companies are required to reduce consumption, and this is one of the ways FirstEnergy is hoping to bring down usage.

If you're an Ohio residential customer of The Illuminating Company, Ohio Edison, or Toledo Edison your rates include the charge for this kit whether you request it or not.

Therefore, make sure you visit and request your kit today. There is NO charge for the kit, FREE shipping and NO handling charge. The kit includes nine compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), a smart strip/surge protector, a furnace filter whistle, and two LED night lights.

Here is a link to a Channel 5 news story about this free program.
